AMERICAN ENDING Author Mary Kay Zuravleff is a panelsit at the Gaithersburg Book Festival with fellow author Joe Milan, Jr. The panel is moderated by Alice Stephens, and a 30-minute book signing will follow the session.

Panel description–

“Exploring What it Means to Be American”: In Zuravleff’s American Ending, Yelena is the first American born to her Old Believer Russian Orthodox parents, who are building a life in a Pennsylvania Appalachian town in the 1920’s as Yelena seeks a truly American life.  In Milan’s The All-American, adopted seventeen-year-old Bucky Yi knows nothing about his birth country of South Korea or his bio-dad’s disappearance; His sights are set on one all-American goal: to become a college football player. So when a misadventure with his adoptive family leads the U.S. government to deport him to South Korea, he’s forced to navigate an entirely foreign version of his life.
