Louise Marburg presents “Women on the Verge” at the San Antonio Book Festival.
Description: Angst, loneliness, joy, pleasure—these two books encompass the emotions of women finding themselves in lives they don’t quite recognize. In Louise Marburg’s collection of short stories, You Have Reached Your Destination, twelve different women reach turning points in their lives, and take stock of their lives. In Szilvia Molnar’s debut novel The Nursery, a mother struggles with post-partum depression and the isolation of new motherhood. These books ask us: what if we offer compassion both to others – and to ourselves?
