Dana Kaye received her B.A. in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago. After college, she worked as a freelance writer and book critic. Her work has appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, Time Out Chicago, Crimespree Magazine, Windy City Times, Bitch Magazine, and on GapersBlock.com. This experience has been crucial to her publicity career: she has the contacts and necessary industry insight to form pertinent, widespread media campaigns.

Dana is known for her innovative ideas and knowledge of current trends. She frequently speaks on the topics of social media, branding, and publishing trends. She is also a contributor to NBC Chicago’s Small Business blog.

Julia Borcherts

Publicist

Julia Borcherts received her M.F.A in Creative Writing and her M.A. in the Teaching of Writing from Columbia College Chicago. Before joining Kaye Publicity, she was the Theater and “Eat. Drink. Do.” columnist for RedEye (a high-circulation Chicago Tribune publication) and has written extensively for Time Out Chicago, Windy City Times, ChicagoBoxing.com and many other publications. She is also the co-founder of the popular Reading Under the Influence live lit series and an adjunct professor in the Department of Creative Writing at Columbia College Chicago.

These experiences have earned her a reputation as a well-known and respected resource for connecting and advising authors, media professionals and others in the publishing and event production communities.

Sarah Simpson-Weiss

Assistant

Sarah is a former Library Director, as well as a former Children’s and Teen Librarian. She has been the assistant to New York Times bestselling author, Rachel Caine, for the past 4 years, assistant to Janet Cadsawan of Cadsawan Jewelry for the past 2 years, and assistant to New York Times bestselling author, Carrie Ryan for 6 months . She joined the Kaye Publicity team in spring 2013 as an assistant to Dana Kaye. Sarah is an avid reader and self-proclaimed bookaholic.
